Terms and Conditions
The terms and conditions set out below apply to the supply of goods or services from Abbey Access Ltd to you the customer, and by ordering you agree to be bound by them.
No part of these terms and conditions affects your statutory rights as a consumer.
When you place an order, it will be treated as an offer by you to purchase. Abbey Access Ltd reserve the right to accept or not accept an order at our discretion. Dispatch of your goods will signify our acceptance of your order and will constitute a legally binding contract between us the seller and you the purchaser under these terms and conditions.
All Prices shown on the website include VAT 20% and delivery for the UK mainland except for those remote areas stated in the ordering section of the Delivery. Some goods dependant on size may incur an additional delivery charge (Above 6 metres in closed length).
Please note all payments are processed through SecureTrading and we do not hold any customer financial information.
A full VAT receipt will be e-mailed to you at the time of order. You may pay for your order by cheque, however, we cannot dispatch any goods until cleared funds arrive in our bank account, therefore an extended delivery time must be anticipated.
Abbey Access Ltd understands that quick efficient delivery is expected by all of our customers and most goods are dispatched on a 3 – 5 working day service.
Some out of stock items or more specialist items such as warehouse steps or scaffold towers may take a little longer. If you have ordered an item which is unlikely to be with you within 7 working days you will be informed either by telephone or e-mail within 24hrs of placing the order.
Please note our free delivery service applies to Monday – Friday 9am – 5.30pm on items that are under 6 metres in closed length. Free delivery is not available in the Scottish Highlands, Islands or Ireland there is an extra charge for these areas of the UK. (Please see our Delivery for details) plus an additional charge if over 6 meters in closed length. If unsure on what applies to you please call or sales team on 0845 505 3000.
Saturday deliveries have been discontinued. Before noon deliveries or before 10.30am deliveries are available. However, we have to make an extra charge for these premium services which will vary depending on the product purchased. When your goods arrive Abbey Access Ltd advise that you check that the items are in good condition and the number of items received corresponds to the quantity you are signing for. Although you are not legally required to do so and it doesn’t affect your statutory rights. The risk in goods does not pass to the consumer until they have had a reasonable time to inspect them. In the unlikely event that your goods have been damaged in transit if possible refuse the delivery and contact our sales team immediately to arrange replacement quickly and minimise your inconvenience.
Please inform us as soon as possible of any shortages so that we may take the matter up with our couriers and trace the missing items.
Abbey Access Ltd will not be held liable for any consequential losses, damages or expenses incurred by you the purchaser or any third party arising directly or indirectly out of late or non-delivery of your order or part thereof.
Title and risk in the goods shall pass to you the purchaser once you have had a reasonable time to inspect the goods.
If for whatever reason you wish to return an item, you must inform us in writing or by e-mail within 7 working days of receipt of goods your intention to return the goods (The 7 day cooling-off period starts the day after receipt of the goods and excludes weekends and bank holidays). Abbey Access Ltd requests goods are returned undamaged and in a saleable condition within 14 days of original delivery.
The purchaser will be responsible for return carriage when goods are not faulty if the customer does not return the goods to Abbey Access Ltd , collection will be arranged at their cost. The buyer is obliged to take reasonable care ensuring that the goods are returned to Abbey Access Ltd are returned in good condition and not damaged in transit.
Abbey Access Ltd will refund all customers within 30 days from date of cancellation.
You may cancel your order at any time prior to dispatch by phone or email quoting your order no. If the goods have been dispatched then the customer is responsible for the cost of the return of the goods unless otherwise agreed.
We use your personal information to provide the services you’ve requested (i.e. process your order). We may also use this information for auditing, research and analysis to operate and improve our technologies and services. We will not pass your details on to any third parties.
